After founding Evans & Tate in the Swan Valley, in 1974 John Evans and John Tate moved south, establishing themselves among the pioneers of Margaret River. Then in 2012 Evans & Tate merged with the Fogarty Wine Group.
Their Margaret River vineyard, Redbrook, sits on the northern bank of the Wilyabrup River. Redbrook Vineyard is home to some of the region's oldest vines. Its well drained gravelly soils, Mediterranean climate and the Indian Ocean's influence are ideal for Cabernet and Chardonnay. They also source grapes from local growers, making Evans & Tate one of Margaret River's biggest wine producers. Despite their size, their winemaking is anchored in quality.
Evans & Tate have wines at every price point. The Evans & Tate Cabernet Sauvignon leads, made only in stellar years, while the Redbrook Reserve and Redbrook Estate ranges feature other highlights.
