Winery
Ashbrook Estate was established by the Devitt family in 1975. Today it remains a family business, led by Brian and Carol Devitt, viticulturist son Richard, winemaking daughter Catherine and marketing son-in-law Kingsley.
The Ashbrook Estate vineyard, located in the heart of Margaret River, benefits from the region's mild, maritime climate and gravelly loam soils. The viticulture is focused on sustainably maintaining vine health with the application of composted mulch. The vines are all cane pruned and lyre trellised by hand. Only grapes handpicked and grown on the Estate are used and all winemaking, bottling and packaging is managed on the estate.
Ashbrook Estate highlights include Cabernet and Chardonnay. Their Reserve wines are named not for difference in quality, but their time spent ageing in bottle. The Semillon and Gold Label Riesling are also of note.
