Bernice Ong and Julian Forwood are the duo behind Ministry of Clouds. In 2012 the husband and wife team sought refuge from their corporate jobs, relinquishing security and structure for the independence and adventure of running their own winery.

McLaren Vale is the Ministry of Clouds heartland. Their estate vineyard is an austere site atop Onkaparinga Gorge, the tough terrain producing quality red grapes – Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro and Tempranillo – to supplement purchased fruit from carefully selected, often ancient vines. Their white varieties hail from proven regions: Clare Valley for Riesling and Tasmania for Chardonnay. Attention to detail underlies every aspect of the winemaking.

Ministry of Clouds produce modern takes on classic styles: restrained, poised reds and crystalline, dry whites. Highlights include single vineyard wines Blewitt Springs Shiraz and Onkaparinga Rocks Shiraz.
