Levantine Hill was established in 2009 by Lebanese born property developer Elias (Eli) Jreissati and his wife Colleen. A major tourist destination, designed by the architects of Hobart's MONA, it takes its name from the Levant, the ancient biblical lands.

Planted along the shores of the Yarra River and peaking at 225 metres above sea level, Levantine Hill's vineyards fan out over very steep clay loam slopes at similar elevations to the Grand Cru vineyards of Chablis in France. The slopes, amphitheatres, valleys and orientation combine to create distinct microclimates in each paddock. The Family Paddock and Estate ranges, draw respectively from their Hill Road and Maroondah Highway single vineyard sites.

Levantine Hill make their wines in the French Bordeaux and Burgundy styles. The Optume range takes pole position, made in a Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The Family Paddock and Estate ranges follow.
