Professional athlete turned winemaker Nigel Ludlow established EVOI in 2007. He began by fermenting just two barrels of Chardonnay in his living room, and today EVOI is in the top tier of Australia's boutique wineries.

Located at Wilyabrup in the heart of Margaret River, the EVOI vineyard has a Mediterranean climate. Cool breezes from the Indian Ocean moderate the temperature and bring consistency to the fruit. While originally EVOI focused entirely on Chardonnay, they now produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec. At EVOI, Nigel Ludlow's hands touch every facet of the winemaking from growing and harvesting to bottling and sales.

Evoi! is the (Latin) cry of the female followers of Bacchus, the god of wine. EVOI's Reserve Chardonnay and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon cry the loudest. The Satyr Reserve, a Cabernet blend, follows behind.
