Victoria's first vineyard was planted at Yering Station in 1838 by the Scottish Ryrie brothers. In 1996 the Rathbone family bought the property turning it into a premium wine producer and landmark tourist destination.

Yering Station comprises five vineyard sites in the Yarra Glen and Coldstream areas on alluvial duplex clay soils and gently sloping hills. Each site has subtle differences in soil, aspect and elevation. Soils, canopies and yields are carefully managed. Yering Station employs precision viticulture with cutting edge canopy and soil mapping technology. Precision viticulture allows Yering Station to work to each terrain's strengths, providing the flexibility to make the most of each vintage's climatic differences.

Yering Station makes outstanding Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their premium single vineyard wines are released in the Reserve range. The flagship is Scarlett Pinot Noir, made only in the very best years.
