The late Robert Oatley purchased the renowned Rosemount Estate in 1968, beginning the Oatley family's winemaking dynasty. Now led by his eldest son Sandy Oatley they have relocated from Mudgee to Margaret River.
Robert Oatley draws from dozens of specialist family growers to supplement fruit from their Margaret River vineyard. Acclaimed vigneron Larry Cherubino is in charge managing a team of viticulturists across key Australian wine regions, in particular West Australia's Margaret River and Great Southern, and South Australia's McLaren Vale. Vineyards are tended as organically as possible and wines are made with minimal intervention, reflecting a dedication to sustainable grape growing and wine production.
The Pennant wines are the pinnacle, made in very limited quantities, from the best barrels off the most prized vineyard blocks. Finisterre is the premium range, with the Signature Series providing quality at every price point.
