The Pennant Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine
Robert Oatley The Pennant Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon draws from exceptional Margaret River sites, typically at Wilyabrup. Individual bunches are hand selected.
The wine's name come from a flag denoting achievement. It is a nod towards the sailing accomplishments of the late Robert Oatley.
The berries are run down a sorting table into small vessels to ferment on skins for up to six weeks. The wine is then aged in tight grained, low toast French oak barrels, a mix of new and one year old.
Through rigorous barrel selection, the best parcels are selected for the final blend. It is a limited release wine made in small quantities.
Crimson purple, Robert Oatley The Pennant Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon has classic blackcurrant flavours, soft tannins and length. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
