Winery
Flowstone brings together Stuart Pym's stellar winemaking experience and Phil Giglia's passion for great wine. In 2004 they planted Flowstone's first vines just south of the Margaret River township at Forest Grove.
Flowstone's tiny vineyard lies at the edge of Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge, close to the caves and crystalline, waterfall-like formations that give the winery its name. Avoiding any easily definable viticultural practice, Stuart Pym relies on his judgement and the view that, above all, balance is key. Recent plantings of Gewürztraminer and Touriga grow alongside the first planted Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, with other varieties sourced from nearby leased sites or growers.
At Flowstone the lead Queen of the Earth range, featuring a Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, are like flowstones – they reveal their beauty over time and with patience.
