Gewürztraminer
Wine
Flowstone Gewürztraminer is sourced from just three rows of vines planted at Wilyabrup in the 1970s. Though it was one of Margaret River's early varieties, Gewürztraminer is now a rare curiosity.
The grapes are allowed to fully ripen, then are handpicked and whole bunch pressed to retain texture. Fermentation is in seasoned oak barrels, where the wine remains for 15 months with occasional lees stirring.
Once bottled, the wine is allowed to relax in the cellar for a further 15 months before release. It is only made in limited quantities.
White gold with green hues, Flowstone Gewürztraminer has an intense, lush and demanding palate with a balancing mineral acidity. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
