At the Winery

When Gary and Margaret Crittenden established Crittenden Estate in 1982, they nearly doubled the area of vines in the emerging Mornington Peninsula region. Today this pioneering winery is in the hands of children Rollo and Zoe.
The Dromana vineyard is sited on well draining, sandy loam soils over grey clay. The region's cool maritime climate provides ideal conditions for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Crittenden Estate is also one of the first Australian producers to embrace styles from Italy and the French variety Savagnin. Avoiding chemicals, their viticulture follows an innovative program of inter-row cover crops, composting and recycled water to build soil health and vine resilience.
Crittenden Estate reserve their best parcels for the Cri de Coeur range. Their Zumma and Kangerong wines are also highlights. The Los Hermanos, Pinocchio and Oggi ranges think outside of the box.
