Wine
Crittenden Estate The Zumma Pinot Noir made with hand harvested fruit from the oldest and most cherished vines on the estate's Home Vineyard.
The grapes are chilled and most are destemmed to a single open French oak fermenter. Fermentation occurs with wild yeasts and some whole bunch inclusion. The ferment is hand plunged up to twice daily.
After natural malolactic fermentation and ageing for 12 months in 30% new French oak, select batches of the wine are blended in tank. The wine matures further in bottle prior to release.
Deep vermillion, Crittenden Estate The Zumma Pinot Noir has balanced fine silky tannins, restrained oak and taut acidity. Cellaring potential is seven years.
