Winery
Following time at Francis Ford Coppola's Niebaum Coppola winery in the Napa Valley, Bruce Dukes established Domaine Naturaliste in 2012. He has an agronomist's passion for soil science and sustainable production practices.
The vineyard is cradled to the west and north by the Indian Ocean, and to the south by the Southern Ocean. The mass of surrounding ocean creates a maritime climate of cool, wet winters and warm, dry summers. The geologically ancient, granite based soils are of low fertility and ideal for grape growing. Plentiful, pure water and the idyllic Indian summers provide superb growing conditions for several varietals.
Domaine Naturaliste wines, known for their complex balance of softness, perfume and texture, reflect both the art and science of winemaking. Morus Cabernet Sauvignon and Le Naturaliste Cabernet Franc take the lead.
