Yabby Lake Vineyard

After a long search for the perfect site, Robert and Mem Kirby established Yabby Lake Vineyard at Tuerong on the Mornington Peninsula. In 1998 following thorough soil surveys and careful mapping the vineyard was planted.

The Mornington Peninsula, surrounded by the sea on three sides, is a true maritime climate. The Yabby Lake vineyard is positioned on a north facing slope that captures maximum daily sunshine, but importantly is refreshed nightly by cool sea breezes – perfect conditions for growing high quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Parcels of fruit are hand selected and vinified separately at the winery. Tom Carson is both chief winemaker and general manager.

Yabby Lake Vineyard's Block Release label is used year to year to bottle stand out fruit that shows individual personality. The Single Vineyard premium range features a Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Syrah.
