At the Winery
Winery
Established in 1982 by Richard and Jill McIntyre, Moorooduc Estate remains a small, family run winery. One of the pioneers of Mornington Peninsula viticulture, their reputation is founded on their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Moorooduc Estate sources fruit from four established vineyards. At 80 metres above sea level the McIntyre Vineyard is the original vineyard. Planted in 1983 its mature vines require no irrigation. Since 2010 the Robinson and Garden Vineyards have been added to increase output. The entry point wines are sourced from the Osborn Vineyard. At the winery wild yeast ferments and minimal intervention prevail, with a nod to traditional Burgundian techniques.
Moorooduc Estate's flagships are The Moorooduc McIntyre Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their premium Robinson and Garden single vineyard wines and Estate range are completed by the approachable Devil Bend Creek label.
