Wine
Moorooduc Estate Chardonnay is sourced from the estate McIntyre Vineyard, with a small parcel from the Robinson Vineyard a short distance south, on the Mornington Peninsula.
Whole bunches are fed into a gravity press. Designed for sparkling wine it separates the juice from the skins, pips and stems. The cloudy juice is sent to one quarter new French oak barrels to ferment naturally.
Natural malolactic fermentation and 10 months of maturation on lees take place in barrel. There is a single racking before the wine is lightly fined, filtered and bottled.
Pale gold, Moorooduc Estate Chardonnay is tangy, elegant and textural with citrus freshness and salty minerality. Cellaring potential is five years.
