Winery
David Noon established Noon Winery in 1976. Twenty years later, his son Drew Noon with his wife Raegan took ownership of the McLaren Vale property where he had grown up, taking on all winemaking responsibilities.
Noon Winery is dedicated to producing premium, full bodied red wine. The vineyard block at McLaren Vale, which was planted in 1934, produces Grenache from unirrigated bush vines while other blocks at Langhorne Creek, which were planted in the 1960s, produce the estate's Shiraz. Because they are bush vines there can be no mechanization, all vineyard operations are carried out by hand. The vines produce high quality fruit, but low yields.
Noon Winery's flagships are the Reserve Shiraz and Reserve Cabernet, both highly regarded by American critic Robert Parker. Noon Eclipse, a blend of estate grown Grenache, Shiraz and Graciano, is also a highlight.
