In 2008 the Erceg family purchased a historic property at Caversham in the Swan Valley from the Roe family. Allan Erceg invited winemaker Ryan Sudano on board to design the winery, and Mandoon Estate was born.
The Swan River Colony's first Surveyor General, John Septimus Roe, staked out the original vineyard in 1829. Situated on the fertile banks of the Swan River, it has 1895 plantings of Verdelho, the oldest in Western Australia, as well as Chenin Blanc, Semillon and Frontignac. For their more temperate styles, they turn to their Margaret River vineyard, the former Bramley Research Station planted in 1976, as well as other prominent Western Australian regions.
Mandoon Estate is a boutique producer of single vineyard wines. They produce quality wines at every price point. Highlights of the Reserve range include The Pact Shiraz and Research Station Cabernet Sauvignon.
