The Pact Shiraz
Wine
Mandoon Estate The Pact Shiraz is named after the promise between Mandoon owner Allan Erceg and winemaker Ryan Sudano to make the best wine possible.
Their pact, sealed with a handshake, was made even before the first foundation stone for the winery was laid. The wine, produced in limited quantities, is Mandoon Estate's finest Shiraz.
A small parcel of fruit is carefully handpicked from the winery's oldest Swan Valley Shiraz vineyard. A small batch, hands on approach is used in the winery.
After fermentation the wine is gently pressed and matured in new French oak for 14 months. It is then bottled by hand without fining or filtration.
Deep purple, Mandoon Estate The Pact Shiraz has dense berry flavours, cedar spices, velvety tannins and a long, plush finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
