Wine

Mandoon Estate Reserve Research Station Cabernet, made in tiny quantities with handpicked fruit, is grown on the winery's Research Station Vineyard in Margaret River.

The site was planted in 1976 by the Western Australia Department of Agriculture to research which grape varieties grew best in the region. Mandoon Estate reinvigorated the vineyard and now draws from its original Cabernet plantings.

Traditional winemaking techniques are used to let the varietal and regional characteristics shine through in the wine. Following maturation in French oak, the finest barrels are selected to comprise the final blend.

Deep red, Mandoon Estate Reserve Research Station Cabernet Sauvignon is intensely fruit driven with subtle, integrated tannins and hints of toasty spice on the finish.

Elegant yet opulent. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
