At age 14 Brisbane boy Luke Lambert knew he wanted to be a winemaker. After high school, his ambition took him through Europe and vintages in Australia and overseas, before establishing Luke Lambert Wines in the Yarra Valley in 2003.
Luke Lambert works with growers in the Yarra Valley, making single vineyard wines that celebrate the personality of their vineyard of origin. His approach is best expressed in his belief that 'the shape of a wine should be governed by what soil you're on, the aspect, the amount of sunshine and rain'. His winemaking is unerringly simple. Unadorned by winemaking artifice, Luke Lambert's signature style is fresh, perfumed, medium bodied wines.
Luke Lambert's Yarra Valley Nebbiolo, Syrah and Chardonnay are highlights. The Crudo label, made in a Chardonnay, Shiraz and Rosé, is great value for money.
