Coombe Farm was once the home of renowned Australian opera singer Dame Nellie Melba. Owned by Melba's descendants, and situated among stunning gardens, it is located on the original St Huberts vineyard in the Yarra Valley.
The current vineyards were planted in the late 1990s, the Coombe Farm wine brand established in 2002 and the cellar door opened in 2007. The wines are produced entirely from estate grown fruit. Varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as Pinot Gris and Shiraz. Coombe Farm wines are classically varietal, regionally expressive and made in small volumes, with a focus on cool climate elegance.
Coombe Farm's Tribute range, made only in the best vintages, includes a Blanc de Blancs, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The first Coombe Farm label was a Pinot Noir in 2002. The Estate range has grown from this beginning.
