Winery

In 1982, when the Adelaide Hills was best known for stone fruit, Geoff Weaver planted a vineyard. In 1992 he retired from corporate winemaking to focus on this venture, from overseeing 120,000 tonnes of fruit to just 70.

A pioneering venture in an untried region, Geoff Weaver's vineyard is situated high up on Lenswood's undulating slopes. The relatively infertile soils result in vines of moderate vigour and a natural balance between fruit and foliage. With mild temperatures free from extremes, the site is ideal for the plantings of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all of which relish a moderately warm site in an overall cool region.

Geoff Weaver is known for fine, savoury wines with full flavours and high acidity. Since the release of his first wines in 1985 he has built a reputation as one of the Adelaide Hills finest wine producers.
