Winery
In the 1840s Brett Grocke's antecedents were Barossa Valley grape growers making wine on the banks of Jacob's Creek. Inspired by his family's rich winemaking heritage, Brett founded Eperosa in 2005.
Eperosa's wines are made from their old vine Barossa vineyards: the Magnolia at Vine Vale, planted in the 1890s at the base of Mengler's Hill, where three gullies converge, and the Krondorf, dating back to 1903. They also source parcels from the 1858 Stonegarden Vineyard in the Eden Valley, one of Australia's renowned old vine vineyards. Richly endowed with old vine Shiraz, Grenache and Semillon, they also have younger plantings of the same.
Brett Grocke practices traditional winemaking with minimal intervention to capture old vine Barossa character. Eperosa are best known for the Magnolia 1896 Shiraz and Stonegarden 1858 Grenache.
