Magnolia 1896 Shiraz
Wine
Eperosa Magnolia 1896 Shiraz is sourced from the winery's oldest vines on their Magnolia Vineyard at Vine Vale in the Barossa Valley.
The vines, planted in 1896, grow in deep granitic sand over clay soils. The block is dry farmed and organically managed, with shoot and bunch thinning used to control the yield. The result is grapes of purity and depth.
All the fruit is handpicked and hand sorted prior to open fermentation. The wine spends 15 months maturing in barrel before it is gently racked by hand and bottled without fining or filtration.
Deep lustrous purple, Eperosa Magnolia 1896 Shiraz has a core of plush black fruit flavours with an underlying line of spice and minerality. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
