After more than a decade alongside David Bicknell at Oakridge in the Yarra Valley, in 2010 Adrian Rodda moved to Beechworth to start his own label, becoming one of the rising stars of north-east Victoria.

Chardonnay is Adrian Rodda's lodestar. Originally focused entirely on Smiths Vineyard, one of Beechworth's oldest plantings, in 2012 he established the Chardonnay Project to create single vineyard Chardonnays from mature, cool climate sites similar to Smiths. He sources from the Willowlake Vineyard in the Yarra Valley and Baxendale Vineyard at Whitlands in north-east Victoria. Tempranillo and Bordeaux varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot represent his foray into red winemaking.

A. Rodda's Triangle Block Smith's Vineyard Chardonnay leads, followed by the other single vineyard Chardonnay Project wines. The Tête de Cuvée Smith's Vineyard Cabernets is the leading red.
