Cuvée de Chez

A. Rodda Cuvée de Chez is a Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and small portions of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is destemmed and crushed; the other varieties are left as whole berries. Fermentation occurs with a mix of pump overs, rack and returns and plunging, depending on the needs of each parcel.

Post ferment, the Cabernet Sauvignon rests on skins for two weeks. All varieties are pressed to one third new French oak barrels to mature for 16 months. The wine receives light fining prior to bottling.

Crimson purple, A. Rodda Cuvée de Chez has red and dark fruit flavours, savoury notes, juicy tannins and supple acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
