Winery
In 1986 growers Will and Elaine Gardener purchased a small vineyard at Springfarm in the Clare Valley. In 2002, their daughter Jennie alongside Colin McBryde took over production, founding Adelina.
Adelina is located next door to iconic Australian winery Wendouree. Certified organic, the vineyard has well established Shiraz, Grenache and Pedro Ximénes vines – some dating back to the early 1900s – as well as more recent plantings of Shiraz, Mataro and Malbec. Adelina also source fruit from growers in the Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills. They practice traditional methods in the winery, where the most modern piece of equipment is the coffee machine.
Adelina's Estate Shiraz and Grenache are the best examples of their old vine fruit. Other notable red wines are the Nebbiolo and Shiraz Mataro while Rieslings lead their whites.
