Winery
Xavier Bizot and Lucy Croser grew up part of passionate winemaking families, Xavier in Champagne and Lucy in the Adelaide Hills. Together the couple launched Terre à Terre, French for 'down to earth', in 2008.
Terre à Terre's Crayères Vineyard is at Wrattonbully, perched on the crest of a limestone ridge covered by terra rossa soil. It is planted to close spaced Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc, hand pruned and picked. The winery combine French and Australian winemaking practices at the Tiers winery in the Piccadilly Valley, which is the other side of the Terre à Terre coin. Here they grow cool climate varieties for their Daosa label, dedicated to sparkling wines.
Terre à Terre's lead is the Crayères Vineyard Reserve, a Cabernet based blend of the vineyard's best parcels. The Blanc de Blancs heads the Daosa wines.
