Vasse Felix

Vasse Felix, Margaret River's founding wine estate, was established by Perth cardiologist Dr Thomas Cullity in 1967. Since 1987 Vasse Felix has been owned and operated by the Holmes a Court family.

Margaret River's pristine isolation, the twin influences of the Indian and Southern Oceans, and perfect soil for viticulture, make it ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Dr Cullity searched relentlessly for his vineyard site, before selecting eight acres in Cowaramup. This special block, Margaret River's original vines, is still at the heart of Vasse Felix. Their other vineyards are in Wallcliffe, Carbunup and Karridale. A hands off approach underlies Vasse Felix's viticulture and winemaking.

Leading Vasse Felix's Icon range are the Tom Cullity, a Cabernet blend, and Heytesbury Chardonnay. The Premier, Filius and Classics tiers follow, offering in addition a Shiraz and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.
