Penfolds Bin 144 Yattarna Chardonnay is sourced from premium fruit grown in several cool climate regions including the Adelaide Hills, Tumbarumba, Henty and the Derwent River Valley in Tasmania.

Yattarna Chardonnay is the result of a highly publicized wine development project. Penfolds set out to create a white wine that can stand alongside Grange. The wine was launched in 1998 with the 1995 vintage.

The wine is fermented in varying percentages of new and seasoned French oak barrels. It then spends 8-9 months on lees, which are stirred back into the wine to build complexity and texture.

A pale golden yellow, Penfolds Bin 144 Yattarna Chardonnay has outstanding length, balance and depth of flavour. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
