Winery
Stuart Hooper established Bannockburn in 1974. Today the winery remains in the Hooper family. Stuart's uncompromising approach to quality grape growing, and his strong belief in making wines that reflect the vineyard, endures.
The vineyards Stuart Hooper planted are now the oldest in the Geelong region. They are dry grown, have poor soil fertility, receive low rainfall and are close planted. While these conditions make for tough growing conditions and low yields, they foster unique flavours. The region's maritime climate ensures mild temperatures and long sunshine hours, with stable, dry and low humidity during the ripening season.
Bannockburn’s reputation rests on limited release, single vineyard wines. Highlights include Serré Pinot Noir, De La Roche Shiraz and S.R.H. Chardonnay. They make an Estate range and a 1314 AD range for immediate enjoyment.
