Jeffrey Grosset established Grosset at the southern end of the Clare Valley near the township of Auburn in 1981. To this day Jeffrey Grosset's approach has been unwavering: the accent is on purity of fruit and remaining small.

The Grosset vineyards include the Polish Hill and Springvale Riesling plantings, as well as the Gaia Cabernet plantings just below the region's highest peak, each expressing the dramatic differences between soft and hard rock sites. Vineyards are organically managed, hand tended and individual bunches of grapes harvested at optimum ripeness. The vineyard is paramount so the winemaking is kept gentle and uncomplicated, resulting in the finest expression of variety and place.

Grosset is arguably Australia's foremost Riesling producer, having earned a significant international profile. The G110, Polish Hill and Springvale Rieslings are leading examples. The Gaia Cabernet Blend leads their reds.
