Winery
Sisters Lucy and Rebecca Willson produced the first Bremerton wine in 1988 with grapes purchased from a neighbour. After a flood in 1992 drowned their lucerne farm, they made the leap to grape growing on their Langhorne Creek property.
The vineyard thrives on the rich soils of the Bremer River flood plain. Nearby Lake Alexandrina provides fresh evening breezes and, coupled with mild to warm summer days, affords the perfect conditions for producing intense flavours. Plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz predominate, with smaller amounts of Chardonnay, Malbec and Petit Verdot. As well as their own vineyards Bremerton select the best fruit from other Langhorne Creek growers.
Bremerton Wines Best of Vintage Cabernet Shiraz is a blend of the best individual parcels in select years. Their Old Adam Shiraz and Walter's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon are other highlights.
