Dowie Doole

Dowie Doole was born of a partnership between Drew Dowie and Norm Doole in 1995. In 2015, chief winemaker Chris Thomas became the managing director, purchasing the winery in concert with other investors.

Dowie Doole is in McLaren Vale, nestled into the southern Mount Lofty Ranges with Gulf St Vincent to its west. The vineyards are split between two distinct locations: the cool, sandy slopes of Blewitt Springs and the more Mediterranean climate and ancient rocky soils of Tatachilla. Managed sustainably applying biodynamic practices, the vineyards produce fruit that speaks of place. Minimal intervention winemaking aims to capture that sense of place in the bottle.

Dowie Doole's Reserve Shiraz leads the range, the Cali Road Shiraz close behind. The C.T. Shiraz and Rosé are other highlights. The DD range offers uniquely McLaren Vale flavours at an affordable price.
