Winery
In 1969, on the same day Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, Sydney publican Bill Taylor found the perfect site for a vineyard in the then little known Clare Valley. He established Taylors, inspired by the great Bordeaux producers.
Today Taylors has the Clare Valley's largest vineyard holdings, all managed sustainably. At 350 metres altitude the vines enjoy a Mediterranean climate, with warm days and cold nights producing intense flavours. Coupled with terra rossa soils, the Clare Valley is unique in its ability to produce rich, full bodied reds and delicate whites. In the winery, above all the imperative is to respect the fruit.
Taylors produce quality wines at every price point. The Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon is their finest, followed by The Pioneer Shiraz and The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon. The St. Andrews range sits close behind.
