Winery
Soul Growers was founded in 1998. Today it is run by three friends who traded in the corporate wine sphere for their own uncomplicated winemaking enterprise: Paul Heinicke, Stuart Bourne and Tom Fotheringham.
The Barossa Valley and its growers are the soul of Soul Growers. The winery sources fruit from an array of sites, from the red soils on the Barossa Valley floor to the high country of the eastern ranges and Eden Valley. Among them are Mourvèdre vines over 130 years old. Attention to detail is the philosophy in the vineyard. Where nature provides, Soul Growers' role is simply to guide; traditional winemaking emphasizes regional and varietal character.
Soul Growers' Single Vineyard wines are the best of each vintage. Of note are the 106 Vines Mourvèdre, Hampel Shiraz, Gobell Shiraz and Hoffman Shiraz. The Barrel Select range contains other highlights.
