Wine
Bowen Estate Shiraz draws from estate plantings on Coonawarra's famous terra rossa soil. All the vines are meticulously hand pruned and sustainably managed.
The fruit is machine harvested and crushed. Fermentation occurs on skins, with one third of the fruit fermented in new oak barrels.
Once pressed, the wine is left to settle then racked from its lees. Malolactic fermentation is carefully monitored. The wine matures for 22 months in American oak barrels prior to blending and bottling.
Dark purple, Bowen Estate Shiraz's abundant dark fruit flavours are supported by focused oak tannins and fruit cake notes. Cellaring potential is five years.
