Chardonnay

Bowen Estate Chardonnay is sourced from estate plantings grown on Coonawarra's famous terra rossa soils. All the vines are pruned and picked by hand.

The grapes are tipped directly into a press to eliminate any bruising and subsequent loss of quality. After pressing the juice is drained and cold settled.

Fermentation occurs in small French oak barrels (barriques), followed by eight months of maturation on lees. The wine is stabilized prior to bottling.

Pale straw, Bowen Estate Chardonnay balances fruit flavours, minerality and natural acid, with subtle oak adding intrigue. Cellaring potential is two years.
