Mount Mary Chardonnay is sourced from premium Yarra Valley estate vineyards first planted in the 1980s. Even the newest plantings are now over 10 years old.

Fermentation occurs on grape solids with periodic bâtonnage (lees stirring) to add texture. Unlike most Chardonnays, malolactic fermentation is avoided. The wine is barrel fermented and aged in 30% new French oak for 11 months.

Pale straw, Mount Mary Chardonnay has rich, perfectly ripe citrus flavours, a pristine acid line and tremendous length. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
