Scorpo Wines Estate Chardonnay draws from the winery's Merricks North vineyard. It is a blend of Bernard 95, P58 and I10V1 clone grapes, all handpicked.

The fruit is whole bunch pressed directly to French oak barriques, typically 20% new and the remainder 1-3 years old. The juice is fermented with native yeasts then sulphured to prevent malolactic fermentation.

After 12 months on lees without stirring, the wine is bottled.

Pale straw, Scorpo Wines Estate Chardonnay has citrus and spice flavours with green apple acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
