864 Cabernet Sauvignon

Oakridge 864 Cabernet Sauvignon is named simply for the number in the winery's address at Coldstream. The range is the pinnacle of Oakridge winemaking.

864 Cabernet Sauvignon showcases micro Cabernet selections from the most exceptional single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley, as well as fruit from the Winery Block of the Oakridge Vineyard.

The handpicked grapes are sorted and destemmed into fermenters for cold maceration over several days. Once fermentation begins, the juice is pumped over twice daily.

Post ferment, the wine rests on skins for four weeks prior to pressing. It matures for 15 months in one third new French oak before blending and bottling.

Bright purple red, Oakridge 864 Cabernet Sauvignon is fragrant with rich dark fruit flavours, supple lacy tannins and a long, tangy finish.

Released only in the best years. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
