Giant Steps Primavera Vineyard Pinot Noir is sourced from Lou Primavera's family vineyard at Woori Yallock planted in 2001. Giant Steps made their first single site wine from here in 2015.
The handpicked fruit is indigenous yeast fermented in oak fermenters. Some parcels see 100% whole bunch inclusion with occasional foot stomping to release more juice from the grapes.
All parcels are matured in small French oak barrels, a portion new, for up to 12 months. The wine is then racked, blended and bottled via gravity without fining or filtration.
Ruby with purple hues, Giant Steps Primavera Vineyard Pinot Noir has smooth red fruit flavours, fine tannins and fresh acidity leading to a dry finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
