Wine

Haselgrove Wines Catkin Shiraz is a blend of fruit from various McLaren Vale microclimates, including but not limited to Whites Valley, McLaren Flat and Blewitt Springs.

Keeping each parcel separate, the fruit is destemmed into open fermenters and the whole berries are cold soaked. The fermenting juice is plunged three times daily for 8-10 days, then is pressed to barrel to complete the process.

The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in a mix of new and seasoned French oak, as well as 16 months of maturation. It is then blended and bottled.

Crimson purple, Haselgrove Wines Catkin Shiraz is medium to full bodied with lush fruit flavours and structured oak tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
