Prosecco
Wine
Freeman Vineyards Prosecco draws from the estate Altura Vineyard, located in the cool climate Hilltops region. This Italian variety was planted in 2011.
The grapes are gently pressed prior to undergoing initial fermentation in stainless steel vats. A portion of the juice is barrel fermented with lees stirring to add complexity and a creamy texture.
The wine then undergoes what is known in Italy as the Metodo Martinotti: a secondary tank fermentation to create effervescence. After a small addition of sugar, the wine is bottled under pressure.
Pale gold, Freeman Vineyards Prosecco has crunchy fruit flavours, delicate acidity and hints of toasty yeast complexity. Made for immediate enjoyment.
