Black Label Cabernet Shiraz Malbec
Wine
Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Shiraz Malbec is a powerful expression of the Wolf Blass philosophy of synergistic blending. It takes the year's best wines and weaves them together into a whole.
The wine is a blend of Langhorne Creek, McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley fruit, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz with a splash of Malbec.
The fruit from each vineyard is crushed, destemmed and fermented separately over 7-12 days. Pump overs and hand plunging are used to maximize colour and flavour extraction.
Some batches remain on skins until they reach dryness; others are pressed to barrel to complete fermentation. The wine then matures for 18 months in new and seasoned French and American oak barrels.
Deep purple, Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Shiraz Malbec has intense fruit characters, a lustrous texture and lingering velvety tannins. Cellaring potential is 25 years.
