Cellar Reserve Braemore Semillon
Wine
Thomas Wines Cellar Reserve Braemore Semillon is handpicked from the iconic Braemore Vineyard, planted in 1969 in the sandy alluvial flats along Hermitage Road, Pokolbin.
The grapes are lightly pressed to minimize the extraction of harsh phenolics. The juice ferments in stainless steel with a neutral yeast to enhance varietal purity. After six weeks resting on lees, the wine is fined for bottling.
Then, in the historic tradition of Hunter Semillon, the wine is aged in bottle. It spends five years in the winery's climate controlled cellar before release.
Bright yellow green, Thomas Wines Cellar Reserve Braemore Semillon has developed toasty richness with age, yet retains vibrant fruit characters and a fine, focused line of acidity.
A uniquely Hunter Valley style. Cellaring potential is 10 years from release.
