Righteous FG Shiraz
Wine
Teusner Righteous FG Shiraz is sourced from a vineyard tucked between the Kasselbaum Vineyard – which consistently makes the grade for Penfolds Grange – and Torbreck's famed The Laird Vineyard.
The Teusner vineyard lies above 300 metres altitude. One of the highest points in the Barossa Valley, it benefits from cooler conditions and fresh breezes that produce small berries packed with flavour.
The handpicked grapes are fermented in open vats with twice daily pump overs. The wine then spends two years in French oak hogsheads, typically 50% new and the balance older, seasoned wood.
Deep purple, Teusner Righteous FG Shiraz has a heart of intense black fruit flavours with rich oak, warm spices and a long lingering finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
