Windmill Vineyard Pinot Noir
Wine
Stonier Windmill Vineyard Pinot Noir is part of the winery's Single Vineyard range, which gives a voice to distinctive parcels of outstanding Mornington Peninsula fruit.
This wine gives Windmill Vineyard the spotlight. Just one kilometre from the winery, it occupies an enviable position on a protected north facing slope of red basalt soils.
Pinot Noir is renowned for its ability to express the nuances of its site. The winemaking at Stonier is about nurturing those flavours through minimal intervention. The aim is to achieve the complexity of the classic Pinot Noir style.
The wine is fermented with around 20% whole bunch inclusion. There is no filtration at bottling.
Bright crimson, Stonier Windmill Vineyard Pinot Noir's layered tannins support generous fruit flavours and earthy spices. Cellaring potential is seven years.
