Old Block Shiraz
Wine
St Hallett Old Block Shiraz represents the very best Shiraz made by St Hallett, produced using the finest available Barossa fruit.
To qualify for the Old Block, vineyards must be at least 40 years old and planted on their own rootstock. It is not uncommon for ancient plantings, established as far back as 1870, to be included in the final blend.
The fruit from each vineyard is vinified separately. The parcels are fermented on skins in stainless steel fermenters and managed using techniques best suited to enhance the colour, flavour and tannins of each batch.
The final wine is the result of an intensive selection process, beginning in the vineyard and extending to individual barrel tastings during maturation.
Inky garnet, St Hallett Old Block Shiraz showcases the harmony of the Barossa, seamlessly integrating supple fruit flavours with rich textures.
Elegant and understated. Cellaring potential is 30 years.
